The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to shape how technology enables UniSC’s future. We’re seeking a strategic Enterprise Architect who can translate institutional ambition into clear architectural direction, connecting business capability, data, applications and infrastructure into a coherent enterprise view that guides investment, reduces complexity and enables transformative change.
Working across portfolios, you will develop a deep understanding of our strategy, business capabilities and technology landscape to identify opportunities, surface risks and manage dependencies early. You will design enterprise roadmaps that align initiatives, systems and resources with institutional priorities, ensuring technology delivers measurable impact and supports sustainable growth.
Partnering with stakeholders across the University, you will help rationalise and modernise our digital environment, maximise the value of existing investments and strengthen governance through architectural insight. If you think beyond systems and are motivated by shaping enterprise-wide outcomes, this role offers the platform to make a meaningful and lasting impact.

You will:
- Shape and enable delivery of the University’s strategic plan by establishing an enterprise-wide view of business capabilities, processes, information and technology, aligning fit-for-purpose products, services and investment decisions.
- Build trusted partnership across portfolios to co-design technology strategies, roadmaps and architectural direction aligned to institutional priorities and future-state ambitions
- Lead and articulate the value of enterprise architecture by demonstrating measurable impact across transformation initiatives, governance forums and investment decisions.
You are a strategic enterprise architect who sees the organisation as an interconnected system, not just a collection of technologies. You are comfortable translating institutional ambition into practical architectural direction and guiding complex organisations through transformation. A trusted advisor to senior leaders, you bring clarity to complexity, balance long-term vision with pragmatic delivery, and influence investment decisions through evidence-based insight. You communicate confidently across technical and non-technical audiences and thrive in collaborative environments where enterprise-wide impact matters.
You will possess:
- a relevant postgraduate qualification and substantial enterprise architecture experience, or equivalent specialist expertise;
- demonstrated success developing and delivering enterprise-wide architecture strategy and multi-year roadmaps in complex environments;
- deep technical architecture expertise across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments, particularly within Microsoft, Windows and Linux ecosystems;
- strong capability mapping and systems thinking, aligning business capability, data, applications and infrastructure to strategic outcomes;
- experience influencing governance processes and guiding strategic investment through architecture assurance;
- sound understanding of cybersecurity, compliance and statutory requirements in regulated environments;
- demonstrated application of recognised architecture and delivery frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT, NIST and Agile/DevOps;
- exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex architecture into executive insight and organisational alignment;
- experience in the Australian higher education sector is desirable.
