"Senior Financial Analyst I"

Position Summary

Rutgers is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst I for the Institute for Nicotine and Tobacco Studies, located in New Brunswick, NJ. This position is responsible for conducting financial analysis, projects and statistical studies. Coordinates formulation, monitoring, and presentation of budgets for controlling funds to implement the program objectives of the organization.

Duties include:

• Prepares budget and forecast for units within the Center based on organization's performance, estimated revenue, expense reports and past budget numbers.
• Supports the Institution's annual RBHS budget preparation
• Prepares financial analysis and consults with project PIs to monitor progress and ensure adjustments are made in accordance with program changes to facilitate long-term planning; includes the monitoring of subawards.
• Reviews and approves expenditures of departments to ensure compliance with budget and allowability according to sponsor policy and compliance with Rutgers policy.
• Directs preparation of special budget reports to interpret budget directives and to establish policies for carrying out directive
