Salary Academic Level C ($141,247 - $162,872) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

About the Role
The Senior Lecturer (Pharmacology) will contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in particular that of the Pharmaceutical Sciences discipline. More specifically, you will be responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and Honours degree programs and for maintaining and advancing your scholarly and research professional capabilities. You will also be expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. You will be expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and develop and engage in high-quality research projects that are aligned with School and University focus areas. The Senior Lecturer (Pharmacology) role will involve course (subject/unit) coordination, leading the design, development, and improvement of curriculum, and may also have responsibility for program management.
To be successful for this position, you'll have:
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver Pharmacology (and related) courses and programs, including development of high quality curriculum and program materials and implementation of innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Pharmacology and related areas. Specialist knowledge in one or more of the following areas would be desirable: therapeutic pharmacology, clinical trials, human research ethics and governance.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake course (subject/unit) coordination role and capacity to undertake academic leadership roles, including those related to degree program management and work-integrated learning/placements.
- Demonstrated ability to support student issues related to effective learning.

Qualifications
Mandatory: PhD in Pharmacology or a related field.
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
About the School
The School of Health and Biomedical Sciences comprises three Academic areas: Clinical Sciences, Health Sciences, and Medical Sciences. Primarily based at the RMIT Bundoora campus, we undertake teaching and research across the disciplines of: Biomedical Science, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Radiations, Nursing, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Chinese Medicine, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Physiotherapy and Psychology. The School's research was ranked as well above world standard in clinical science, complementary and alternative medicine, medical physiology, microbiology and pharmacology & pharmaceutical sciences, and above world standard in psychology, public health & health service and medical & health sciences.
