Job Description

The Senior Manager for Program Delivery will manage a portfolio of in-person and virtual executive education programs for the Program on Negotiation (PON).  The Senior Manager provides logistical oversight and management of executive education sessions to ensure high-quality courses and programmatic offerings. In this role the Senior Manager for Program Delivery directs staff (both internal and external), makes strategic decisions that effect and impact the success of the program and ensure a seamless participant experience. The Senior Manger establishes and manages expectations with faculty, participants and vendors, serving as a point person between all constituents.

As a Senior Manager for Program Delivery, you will:

  • Serve as manager and main point of contact of both in-person and virtual programs and responsible for including but not limited to: developing and maintaining strong working relationships with faculty, staff, and external clients, negotiating vendor contracts, scheduling, training and supervising temporary event staff; ensuring smooth functioning of event, etc.
  • Facilitate and support faculty on programmatic development, administration, and customization.
  • Design and develop program communications and evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, reports, documentation, and processes; identify best practices and areas for improvement and develop solutions. Respect budgetary guidance for programming as identified by Program on Negotiation (PON) management team.
  • Manage 1-2 PON staff members, including hiring and orientation, training and development, workflow and performance management, and the promotion of an inclusive and innovative work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience

Additional Information

Appointment End Date:This is a term appointment currently expected to extend to June 30, 2027 with potential for renewal, subject to departmental funding and need.

Standard Hours/Schedule: Full-time.

Work Format Details

This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
