Soc/Clin Research Specialist-CIDD Ward

Position Summary
North Carolina’s DHHS Division of State Operated Health Care Facilities (DSOHF) has contracted with the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD) to create a questionnaire/survey to be used in the State Developmental Centers (SDC). Centers are in Butner, Kinston and Morganton. The purpose of the questionnaire is to determine if residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities are interested in community living. The questionnaires of the residents/persons with disabilities will be completed in person at the SDCs. Interviewers must provide their own transportation.
The interviewer will be expected to:
1. Travel to the assigned SDC using their own transportation.
2. Independently conduct the standardized questionnaire using tablet and laptop computers provided by CIDD to record responses
3. Complete all required documentation according to the established protocol.
4. Attend all required trainings
Interviewers are especially needed in areas near and around Kinston (Caswell Developmental Center) and Morganton (J Iverson Riddle).
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
Experience in developmental disability or other forms of disability or related field.
Skills in technology and online communication. A two or four-year degree or industry recognized certification in a related discipline and one year of related training or experience, or a combination of training and experience is preferred.
