Description

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at DePauw University invites applications for a Part-time Instructor (with MS degree) or Assistant Professor (with PhD) in Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025 with a focus on introductory statistics courses. Ph.D. in Statistics or any closely related discipline (by the time of appointment) is preferred; candidates holding a Master’s degree will be seriously considered at the rank of Instructor. A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal-arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. Teaching assignments will be one or two sections of “Math 141, Statistics for Professionals” in the fall 2024 term and one or two sections of the same course in the spring term. We are open to applicants who are available to teach two courses each term as well as applicants who are only available to teach a subset of these courses.
