An ability to teach other languages/cultural traditions would be a plus. The typical course load is 4:4.
An understanding and enthusiasm for teaching motivated and talented high-school-aged students and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to identify students' needs and develop engaging, practical and informative courses and extracurricular opportunities is a must. Committee meetings, student activity advising, and occasional evening/weekend commitments are a regular part of faculty responsibilities. A public-school teaching certificate is not required.
This is a full-time (10-month) teaching position, beginning Fall 2026, with benefits through the State of South Carolina. Salary is competitive and commensurate with credentials, experience, and unique capabilities.
