General Position Description
Responsible for coordinating and/or supporting Student Development Department activities and programs in support of the department's core components of Leadership, Education, Community Involvement and Personal Engagement.

Salary Range: $17.92 per hour
Description of Job Function
- Coordinates and supports Student Development programming and partners to advance collegewide initiatives.
- Maintains appropriate communication with students, staff, program participants, and relevant internal and external partners, as necessary.
- Conducts appropriate screening, interview, and referral processes, as necessary.
- Organizes and guides the planning and execution of events and activities that support the Student Development Department.
- Prepares program materials and coordinates marketing and promotional efforts for Student Development programs in collaboration with college partners, as necessary.
- Plans and executes orientation and training opportunities for students, as designated.
- Collects and manages feedback from students, staff, faculty and community partners.
- Prepares reports as needed or as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Preferred Education & Field of Study
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skill in the use of personal computers and general office software.
- Skill in communicating effectively interpersonally, orally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work well independently and on a team.
- Ability to publicize Student Development programs, accurately collect program information and data, and prepare related reports.
- Ability to apply a professional demeanor and good judgment when relating to students, staff and host agencies.
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, and lift/carry items up to 20 lbs.
- May need to travel between campuses and to off-site locations, as required.
General Working Conditions
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus. Cognitive abilities include but are not limited to frequently using discretion, judgment, reasoning, memory, learning, maintaining confidentiality, comprehension, problem solving, and decision-making.
