General Summary

Supervise pool operations to ensure the safety of all members and guests, while maintaining cleanliness of the indoor pool and outdoor pool deck.

Specific Position Duties

• Open and close the pool daily in accordance with established schedules and operating hours
• Maintain proper chemical levels through routine testing and treatment
• Continuously monitor pool activities during shifts to identify and address safety concerns
• Clear the pool promptly during hazardous or unsafe conditions
• Monitor weather conditions closely to ensure guest safety
• Organize, coordinate, and supervise pool parties and special events
• Provide swimming instruction and swim team coaching as available
• Ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained pool and surrounding area
• Assist patrons as needed in a courteous and professional manner
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Current lifeguard certification or the ability to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification prior to start date.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment, in-water practical skills assessment.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all members, students, and guests
