"Sr. Director, CN Finance - Lakewood & Los Alamitos - FT Days"

Incumbent is responsible for directing all financial functions of one or more Community Network hospitals, including oversight of financial reporting, month-end close, management operating reports (MORs), budget variance analysis, and financial planning. The incumbent partners closely with hospital administration and department leaders to ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic financial decision-making aligned with the health system's goals. The incumbent maintains full ownership of hospital financial performance and is a key member of the hospital's executive leadership team.

Required Qualifications:

• 10 years' progressive financial management experience in a healthcare setting
• 3 or more years' management experience in finance in a healthcare or relevant setting
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Strong working knowledge of process improvement principles and change management methods
• Strong technical knowledge and skills in financial analysis, cost accounting, management accounting, reimbursement methodologies, and healthcare economics
• Significant experience with financial planning and decision support systems (Strata, Epsi or Axiom)
• In-depth and broad understanding of finance within an integrated health care model, including accounting practices, financial analysis, business management theory, and practices relating to financial management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Effective report writing and presentation skills
• Ability to develop financial and operational systems to accurately monitor and control organizational activities
• Ability to accurately analyze complex financial and accounting data and effectively communicate it to a wide variety of executives, faculty, and other constituents in lay terms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in business administration, health administration, or other relevant degree program
• Leadership or relevant management consulting experience in an academic medical center or complex teaching environment
