Student Assistant

Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant for School of Graduate Studies-Biomedical and Health Sciences.

The primary purpose of the Student Assistant position is to learn research skills and acquire the tools necessary to be successful in subsequent (graduate/post–graduate) studies if they decide to pursue their education further.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Provides academic support in the form of tutoring and mentoring.
• Interacts with a diverse group of graduate students and faculty.
• Assists with quiz preparation.
• Assists with exam preparation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Current Rutgers Student enrolled undergraduate or graduate study.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Standing, sitting, walking, talking or hearing.
• No special vision requirements.
• Must be able to exert force up to ten (10) pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Office/Clinical/Laboratory environment. Moderate Noise.

Salary: $15.92/hour is budgeted for this position.
