Student Success Advisor
Job Description
Help students navigate their academic journey and achieve their goals as a Student Success Advisor at a community college dedicated to access, support, and opportunity. In this role, you will provide academic advising, educational guidance, and retention support to prospective and current students.
You will work one-on-one with students to clarify career and educational goals, develop efficient education plans, and guide them through enrollment and course selection. Youll interpret placement results, explain academic policies and transfer requirements, and connect students with campus and community resources that support their success. This role also includes developing and delivering workshops on topics such as academic success, career exploration, and transfer planning, as well as collaborating with faculty and departments on student success initiatives. Youll use student information systems and planning tools to track progress and support persistence, while advocating for student needs across the institution.
Were looking for a professional with strong communication and presentation skills who can clearly convey complex information and build effective relationships with students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate is comfortable using technology and student information systems, can facilitate engaging workshops, and demonstrates the ability to support students in navigating academic pathways. A student-centered approach, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are key to success in this role.

Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree and a minimum of two years full-time equivalent related experience required. Valid drivers license required.
Starting pay range:
Pay Grade: P4 [To see full Professional Pay Grade Salary Structures click here]
Work Site Location: Coeur d' Alene Campus
Work Schedule: typical college hours are Mon-Thurs 7:30-5:00, Fri 7:30-2:30
