Job Summary
The Superintendent provides strategic leadership and operational management for the UT Tyler University Academy, a university-authorized charter school within the College of Education and Psychology. The Superintendent ensures compliance with the charter agreement, state and federal accountability standards, and University policies while maintaining alignment with institutional goals.
As part of the College of Education, the University Academy functions as a laboratory school that supports teacher preparation, clinical placements, applied faculty research, and professional development partnerships. The Superintendent is expected to demonstrate ethical decision-making, transparent communication, and a visible presence across campuses while fostering a positive, student-centered culture of respect and safety.
