• Job Summary/Basic Function:The Department of Public Health and Human Performance at SUNY Potsdam seeks to create a pool of adjunct instructors for undergraduate and graduate courses for its programs in Public Health and Exercise Science that may be taught on campus in Potsdam, at the JCC extension site in Watertown, and/or online. Specific areas of need include Public Health, Exercise Science and Wilderness Education. Adjunct instructors deliver courses and monitor student progress; communicate with students, department, and college personnel; and ensure all relevant learning resources are available to students. Candidates may be asked to teach daytime, evening, and/or distance courses, depending on the specific needs of the programJob Requirements & Essential Functions of the Job:Deliver and review course syllabi and relevant supporting materials
• Create a dynamic and active classroom environment that supports the learning of each individual student
• Administer and report results of assessments relevant to course student learning outcomes and departmental guidelines
• Provide timely feedback for all submitted student work
• Align course instruction and activities to stated student learning outcomes

Required Qualifications:The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Public Health, Exercise Science, Adventure Education or closely related field

• Experience teaching in an online environment
