The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Cincinnati (UC) seeks to hire an academic Surgical Pathologist to join our growing department. The position involves participation in clinical service in surgical pathology; teaching pathology residents, fellows and students; and offers opportunities for participation in research. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience.
Essential Functions
- Teach Pathology residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Participate in translational research.
- Support expanding Surgical Pathology services.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Must have all the following prior to effective date of appointment:
- Medical degree (M.D. or equivalent).
- Completion of a three-year Anatomic Pathology or four-year Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency program.
- Board-certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- Fellowship training or experience in Cytopathology.
- Licensure by the State of Ohio Medical Board.
