Job Description
Answer telephone, email and in-person inquiries concerning technology. Examples include answering questions regarding usernames, passwords, MFA, networking, email, general purpose software and hardware.
Install and configure desktop computer systems running Windows, along with various peripherals. Some MacOS support may be required.
Help faculty and staff get connected to the campus network via VPN from off-campus and wireless or wired connections on-campus.
Relocate desktop computers, projectors and peripherals in labs, classrooms, and faculty/staff offices as required.
Interact with coworkers and supervisor to determine customer support procedures that benefit the campus community.
Research, quote, and deploy new hardware and software purchases.
Assist with end-user security events, such as virus/malware remediation.
Provide support to satellite department locations – will require some local travel.
Shift
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Experience supporting computer device hardware, software and operating systems.
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
Strong customer service skills
Ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, mobile devices running Android and iOS, computer management systems such as Configuration Manager and JAMF, Active Directory and Group Policy would be desirable.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $15.00 - $23.80 Commensurate with experience
