Project Officer (HEO 5) based in the Integration Management Office (IMO)
- Based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) at the City West Campus
- Multiple full-time fixed term contracts until 31 December 2025 (part-time negotiable)
- Salary range: $76,304 - $90,143 per annum plus 17% superannuation
We are seeking multiple Project Officers to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of South Australia and be based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) supporting projects within a particular Domain.
About the Domains
The Integration Management Office (IMO) has established functional areas which are referred to as Domains. Each of the Domains listed below is responsible for executing tasks and producing deliverables that are crucial to the establishment of the new Adelaide University.
- Curriculum Domain
- Student Experience & Administration Domain
- People & Culture Domain
- Legislation & Academic Governance Domain
- Market & Partner Engagement Domain
- Corporate & Finance Domain
- Research & Research Training Domain
About the role
As a Project Officer in the Integration Management Office, you play a critical role in supporting the delivery of project activity in one of the above Domains; monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and quality. You will assist project teams with administrative and technical tasks to assure the implementation and timely delivery of project activity.
Core Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate a range of nominated projects, including scoping, scheduling, tracking, evaluating and reporting against key milestones and deliverables
- Provide high level, project, and administrative support to the senior project team members
- Research and compile information for communications and assist in the preparation of presentations
- Provide support for working groups, committees and meetings with key stakeholders
- Support the preparation, presentation, and communication of high-quality documents, including reports and memorandums related to project activities
- Manage logistical requirements for all events, workshops, and activities for the project (i.e., room bookings, the set-up of equipment, catering and refreshments)
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a complex project environment requiring the development of strong collaborative working relationships
- High-level administrative skills including experience providing project officer support to working groups and committees, and experience in developing and maintaining high level paper-based and electronic administrative systems
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise and anticipate requirements
- High degree of initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to instigate and undertake tasks with minimal supervision and acting as a team-player
- Highly developed interpersonal / communication skills and experience building relationships and demonstrating the highest level of service and support with a diverse range of people
- Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality correspondence and reports, to include a high-level attention to detail
