Description
The Media and Communications Advisor is responsible for working under the direction of the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Projects and in coordination with other administrative personnel to establish a Media Center (“Center”) on campus, in accordance with College Regulations; developing new programming material for the media center; assisting in marketing and general promotion of the media center; and other initiatives to be adopted by the College.
This position is a .5 FTE assignment.
Examples of Duties
Provide programming and research support and administrative direction for the Center.
Partner with College administration to establish new vehicles of communication, including but not limited to: podcast, video series/live interviews and webinars.
Support the College’s educational programs through marketing and branding efforts.
Assist in hiring and training personnel for the Center.
Serves as a spokesperson for the Center in the community and region, and to various external agencies, organizations, and the public.
Attend New College training and professional development programs such as required compliance training and safety training, as well as other programs that will assist them in the performance of their job responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D.
