Description

Do you have excellent interpersonal/human relations skills? Are you a strategic and tactical thinker? Do you consider yourself to be a data-driven decision maker?  University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis is currently looking for an Associate Registrar to maintain and update all curriculum changes for new and existing programs, manage degree progression and auditing, as well provide guidance and training to faculty and staff on programs and advising.

You will get to:

  • Provide support for the Office of the Registrar
  • Plan, organize, supervise, and administer the curriculum changes
  • Manages course transfer evaluations
  • Represent the Office of the Registrar and the Enrollment Services unit in the Undergraduate and Graduate Curriculum Committee/Councils
  • Collaborates and contributes to overall development and success of the academic success coach and faculty advising programs
  • Build and maintain the academic programs in Jenzabar to ensure degree pathways and completion
  • Maintain the curriculum portions of the Catalog such as degree programs and course descriptions
  • Work with Department Chairs to create and implement an efficient and effective schedule for the fall, spring, and summer terms
  • Coordinate effectively with academic and administrative units across campus to achieve curriculum goals 
  • Collaborate with administrators, deans, faculty, IT, advisors, and counselors to facilitate and improve services to students
  • Evaluate and certify all graduates
  • Assist the Registrar in preparing final grade reports and distribution lists at the end of each semester
  • Collaborate to develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology applications in support of enhanced services offered through the Office of the Registrar and Enrollment Services 
  • Provide services for records and registration including registering students, early registration, issuing transcripts, answering phones, scanning, reporting grades and working special events as needed
  • Facilitate a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, student services, educational administration or a related area required; master’s degree preferred
  • Five years of experience in a college or university registrar's office or related department is required and managing programs and curriculum experience is preferred.
  • The ability to understand complex student information systems and to use those systems effectively in a management and strategic capacity are required. Experience with Jenzabar is preferred, but not required
  • Strategic and tactical thinking, data-driven decision making, and short and long-term planning skills are required
  • The ability to perform work with various computer applications is required
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • The ability to work under deadline pressure but maintain attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills, collegiality, and the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people on a variety of channels, and to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must be very articulate, have excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, and able to explain abstract concepts effectively
  • The ability to work successfully with college and university administrators and high school personnel is required
  • A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change
  • Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
  • Sensitivity to issues related to recruitment and retention of a diverse student body are required.
  • The availability to work a flexible schedule that includes regular business hours, plus evenings and weekends as needed.
