About the Role
Flinders University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Assessment and Results Officer to play a lead role in providing specialist support on all academic progression related matters.
As a Senior Assessment and Results Officer, you will act as a subject matter expert to ensure students and staff are provided with accurate operational support relating to assessment and examinations, results entry, managing student progress, and prizes and awards processes.
In this multifaceted position, you will also:
- Interpret and analyse policies, statutes, regulations and administrative procedures relating to progress and assessment, particularly for complex cases.
- Create and manage examination timetables, including the collection of examination papers, venue management and supporting the arrangement of alternative assessments.
About You
With your well-developed solution-orientated approach to customer service, you will provide positive resolutions to complex and sensitive matters regarding exams, results, and academic progression to students and staff. Your excellent organisational and problem-solving skills will allow you to prioritise tasks and feel at ease when working within a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Furthermore, your strong oral communication and interpersonal skills will facilitate the development of positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate:
- Well-developed written communication skills including data management skills and the ability to create reports for a broad range of stakeholders.
- General knowledge of University best practice to advise on routine assessment matters and complex case management support.

About Student Administration Services
Student Administration Services operates under a university wide matrix services model. SAS teams are integrated within each of the six colleges, along with the front-end student service hub (Flinders Connect) and university-wide administration services to provide support across the student lifecycle, from admissions through to graduations.
The suite of services that the SAS unit delivers are crucial to the student experience. These services act as the scaffold around the learning experience. - Experience supporting assessments, examinations and student progress, including developing examination timetables and related timelines, venue management, examination papers, invigilation services, alternative examination arrangements and interstate/overseas examinations.
- High-level of organisational, time and workload management skills, including demonstrated ability to make decisions, establish priorities and manage complex workflows, particularly in situations with non-negotiable deadlines.
- Demonstrated significant judgement and problem-solving skills including the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Well-developed written communication skills including data management skills and the ability to create reports for a broad range of stakeholders.
