"Student Engagement Specialist/ Area Coordinator"

The Division of Student Affairs at Lebanon Valley College seeks a student engagement specialist / area coordinator. The student engagement specialist / area coordinator is a full time 12-month and live-on campus position, that provides leadership to a wide range of student activities and programs fostering student development, engagement, belonging and inclusion in the campus community. The specialist/area coordinator works collaboratively with the student engagement and residential life teams to establish programming to advance understanding and appreciation for BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and other student populations. The specialist/coordinator assumes an active role in supporting, mentoring and linking historically underrepresented students to various campus resources to enhance social success in collaboration with other campus administrators and students. Residential life responsibilities include community development efforts within the assigned residential community, serving in the on-call duty rotation, and assisting with other residential life duties as needed. Qualifications include a master’s degree, required, preferably in student affairs, counseling, higher education or a related discipline, a minimum of two years professional student activities or higher education experience, leadership experience and community service involvement, live-on experience in residential life, experience working with BIPOC and/or LGBTQ student populations, and the ability to work varied hours including evening and weekends.
