The Technical Generalist role will bridge the gap between technical development and educational content creation while also supporting partners in implementing and optimizing our learning technologies. This dual-role position combines hands-on technical work-such as coding interactive tools, automating processes, and developing dynamic educational content-with customer support and partner engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in both software development and instructional technology, with a strong ability to collaborate across content and engineering teams. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about creating interactive learning experiences and ensuring seamless technology integration for educators and students.
Core responsibilities include:
Technical Development

- Define technical requirements and collaborate on the development of innovative learning activities.
- Develop programmatic videos based on detailed specifications from content authors, ensuring clarity and engagement.

- Automate processes using programming languages and scripting to streamline content development.
- Utilize SQL and data analytics to generate reports and insights, improving learning outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Train and support content authors in developing effective technical specifications for animations, videos, and interactive media.
Support & Customer Success
- Provide responsive, in-the-moment support to partners via email, helping them navigate and maximize our tools, technology, and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with academic partners, advising them on best practices for integrating our tools into their teaching.
- Assist institutions in implementing learning technologies, including Learning Management System (LMS) and LTI integrations.
- Consult with faculty on curriculum design and implementation, delivering individual and departmental training sessions.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Executives to review customer needs, expansion opportunities, and retention strategies.
- Identify priority customers and develop engagement strategies to ensure user success and reduce digital churn.
