- Salary Range: $80,118 - $89,085 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

Work that matters
As a Technical Officer within the College of Science, you will primarily support laboratory-based teaching activities, while also contributing to research and broader operational requirements through the delivery of high-quality technical services and safe laboratory practices. Your work will help ensure technical environments, facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard, enabling impactful teaching and research outcomes across Adelaide University.

The team
Reporting to the Manager Technical Services, Agriculture Food and Wine, this role forms part of the Specialist Facilities and Technical Services team within the College of Science. The team provides technical expertise and operational support across teaching and research environments, contributing to safe, effective and sustainable service delivery across the University.

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
- A post-secondary qualification in Agriculture, Plant Science, Wine Science or Food Technology, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant industry exposure
- Demonstrated capability working within laboratory or regulated technical environments
- Knowledge of supporting laboratory-based teaching, practical classes or operational activities
- Familiarity with preparing, handling or managing laboratory materials, reagents or consumables
- Understanding of laboratory safety procedures, risk controls and standard operating procedures
- Proven ability to maintain laboratory records, inventories or technical documentation
