Technician Assistant
Position Summary
The Bala lab seeks a research technician to assist with the study of ocular disease biology.
Responsibilities
- Laboratory-based assistance to senior scientists in the laboratory with basic lab management.
- Managing mouse colonies.
- Performing basic molecular biology techniques.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent certificate with some related experience, usually six months
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in mouse handling, molecular biology techniques such as PCR genotyping, and ocular techniques such as intraocular pressure measurements.
Experience in image analysis software such as imaris, photoshop and illustrator is a plus.

- The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
