This position is part of an initiative at the SNF Center for Precision Psychiatry, focusing on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and characterization of iPSC-derived neuronal models to study disease mechanisms and identify potential therapeutic targets.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of human iPSC lines, including regular quality control assays.
- Generating 2D and 3D iPSC-derived neural cultures using various protocols.
- Performing various assays to assess neuronal and glial differentiation, including immunostaining, western blotting, and qPCR.
- Assisting with high-throughput screening of iPSC-derived neural cells to identify molecular and functional biomarkers.
- Analyzing cellular and molecular data, including transcriptomics and proteomics, in collaboration with the research team.
- Maintaining detailed records of experimental procedures and results, including data entry into lab management systems.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring that all research materials and reagents are stocked and up to date.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
