DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
Executive Search & Recruitment serves as the University's strategic talent partner, advancing leadership excellence systemwide. Our mission is to strengthen UC's long-term leadership capacity and ensure the University is positioned to attract exceptional leaders who can meet the challenges of today and the opportunities of tomorrow.
We provide strategic oversight, end-to-end search management, and advisory support for positions reporting directly to the President, systemwide officers, and other mission-critical leadership positions ranging from Director through Senior Management Group Level 1. This work spans the Office of the President and all UC locations.
We drive high-impact initiatives and programs that shape, elevate, and align executive recruitment across the UC system. Through strategic partnerships and the advancement of best practices and consistent processes, we uphold integrity, rigor, and transparency for the University's most visible and consequential leadership searches. Our work delivers the visionary leaders who propel UC's academic, research, and service missions forward and position the University for continued achievement and innovation.
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a TEMPORARY position within our Temporary Office of the President Staffing (TOPS) program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides direct analytical, project and administrative support and manages special projects for Systemwide Executive Search & Recruitment
- This position researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues and manages projects of moderate scope and complexity
- Key responsibilities include complex coordination of search workflows and activities that are high-volume, specialized, and require a high degree of detail
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse environment with all levels of staff
- Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes
- Ability to use discretion and diplomacy and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable as priorities evolve; ability to work well with ambiguity and experimentation, and to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work productively and build strong relationships in a collaborative environment
- Strong writing, editing, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience or familiarity in HR, talent acquisition, and/or executive recruiting setting
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement. The person hired will be required to reside within California.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The University of California, Office of the President, is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the salary grade for a position. The full salary range shows the growth potential for this position.

PayScale/ budgeted hourly range: 32.90/hour - $45.16/hour. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
