Nature of Position: Temporary, part-time
Job Summary/Basic Function: The department of Early, Middle and Exceptional Education is accepting applications for a part-time instructor responsible for teaching coursework and/or supervising student teachers. The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment. Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. In the event that you are interviewed but not immediately hired, your application will remain in the departments pool of qualified faculty.
A complete application will include:
- Cover letter describing qualifications for the position.
- Current curriculum vitae or professional resume.
- Copies of registrar-issued transcripts for all degrees conferred and in progress.
- Two letters of professional reference dated within the last 12 months.

- Master's Degree in Elementary Education or related discipline.
- At least five years full-time teaching experience in U.S. schools.
- Successful preschool or public school experience.
- Prior experience teaching course content or related topics.
- Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
- Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Successful interview.
- Successful teaching demonstration for class teaching assignments.
- Successful completion of three background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD or ABD in Elementary Education or related specialized discipline.
- Supervisory or Administrative experience in public school settings.
- Prior college-level teaching experience.
