Temporary - Talent Acquisition Specialist
Georgetown University's Human Resources department is looking to hire a Temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist. This position will function as a member of the Talent Acquisition team and will collaborate to recruit, screen and place highly qualified and diverse candidates to meet the hiring needs of the University Community. The Talent Acquisition Specialist must have the experience and ability to deliver high-quality, timely and custom-tailored talent acquisition services, utilizing proactive and creative sourcing strategies, and reviewing, editing and posting of all University jobs. This temporary position has the possibility of becoming a regular ongoing position. Work Mode: Hybrid/up to 2 days a month in office. Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pay Rate: $32/hr (including Holiday Pay and PTO accrual). Reporting to the Assistant Director of Talent Acquisition, duties include: Providing expert guidance to hiring departments for each step of the recruiting cycle; Ensuring that the employment process meets all required university standards and practices as well as employment laws and regulations; Assisting hiring departments with determining selection criteria; Representing the university at job fairs and career days; Managing the full cycle recruitment process for open positions; Supporting Hoya Staffing's temporary position placement requests; Supporting standardized interview methodologies for hiring managers to ensure objective evaluation of candidates and compliance with all regulatory requirements; Communicating effectively with the hiring manager/interview team to ensure preparedness throughout the interview process. Requirements: Bachelor's degree - preferably in Human Resources or related field; 2 to 4 years of professional level recruiting and staffing experience; Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar recruiting role; Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Working knowledge of federal/state/local employment laws and practices; Familiarity with social media, resume database, and professional networks; A self-starter with hands-on experience using a variety of interview techniques; Detail orientation, strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time management skills; Ability to work with diverse populations and varying education levels. Preferred qualifications: Experience with Workday Recruiting or other web-based applicant tracking systems; Experience using social media to support talent acquisition services.
