Tenure Track Full-time Assistant Professor, Theology – Department of Theology
The Department of Theology at Duquesne University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting in August 2026.
The ideal candidate will focus on Inter-Religious Studies/Theology of Religions/Comparative Religion and must have completed a Doctoral Degree in at least one of those fields. A secondary proficiency in ethics is also preferred but not required. Duquesne is dedicated to the teacher-scholar model, expecting excellence in both teaching and research. The teaching responsibilities will include courses at the undergraduate, M.A., and Ph.D. levels, with a workload of three courses each semester. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered. The position will begin in Fall 2026.
Alternately, the applicants may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
