Overview:

Full-time, Fixed-Term and casual positions

Salary teacher level T3.1 to T5 + 17% Superannuation

Based at the Melbourne CBD or Bundoora campuses however, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

We are looking for current or aspiring VE Electrical Teachers who have relevant industry and vocational teaching qualifications, or who are working towards a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, Cert III and IV in Electrical, and an A-grade Licence.

About the role 

As a VE Teacher at RMIT, you will be mainly responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses in the schools. 

Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods. 

Skills and experience in competency-based assessment and ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed. 

Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position. 

The capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions. 

Qualifications

Relevant Qualifications - Certificate 4 Training & Assessment (enrolled or finished) as a minimum

Certificate III and IV in Electrical

A-Grade Licence (Must)
