Job Description

The Department of Art and Art History (https://hope.edu/academics/art-and-art-history/) invites applications for a 1-year Visiting Assistant Professor position of Studio Art in Sculpture and Ceramics, beginning Fall 2026. Primary teaching responsibilities include basic sculpture and ceramics courses. These courses are populated by studio majors and minors, as well as students taking Arts in Practice courses for the Anchor Plan. The expected teaching load is 3 courses per semester. Preparing and executing all work for assigned classes, including syllabi preparation, instruction delivery, and student assessment are also part of these positions, as well as maintaining regular, published office hours for students.

Qualifications

MFA Degree in studio art.
