Visiting Culinary Arts Instructor (One Year Temporary)
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Culinary Arts Instructor is responsible for lecture and/or laboratory instruction in Riverside Culinary Academy courses. The assignment may also include other courses in the discipline.
EDUCATION:
A minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited institution. Certified Culinary Educator (CCE) from the American Culinary Federation (ACF) is preferred. Certified Executive Chef (CEC) or higher-level certification is also preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1. A minimum of six (6) years of full-time industry experience is required. A minimum of two (2) of those years should be as an executive chef running a culinary establishment is preferred.
2. Must possess experience in organizing banquets and catering special events.
3. One year of teaching experience in culinary arts is required.
4. Community college or baccalaureate level teaching experience is also desired.
5. Membership in the ACF and other professional organizations preferred.
