Primary Purpose of the Position
The Department of Business Administration within the College of Business and Entrepreneurship is seeking candidates for temporary adjunct positions to teach undergraduate business-related courses in Entrepreneurship, Management, Marketing, Information Systems, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Business Communications and related areas.

Minimum Experience/Education
- Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Business Communications, Management, Marketing, Information Systems, Data Sciences, Decision Sciences, Operations Management, Operations Research, Statistics, or related fields
- Professional experience in the subject area is preferred
- Professional certification or significant current experience may be acceptable in some cases
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- The ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and diverse populations
Normal Work Schedule
- Weekly with designated class times Monday through Friday
- Courses may be scheduled in-person, on-line synchronous, or on-line asynchronous. They are taught over 8-week sessions or over a full 15-week semester
- Full-semester courses meet either in-person, synchronously on-line or asynchronously on-line. Synchronous courses typically meet three hours per week between 8:00 am and 8:30 pm
- Eight-week courses are typically taught asynchronously online and provide similar learning experiences and objectives as full-semester courses in a more intensive compressed timeframe
- Must be available for office hours – a minimum of 2 hours per week for full-semester courses and 4 hours per week for eight-week courses

- Must be able to deliver course content aligned with institutional standards
- Must be able to effectively teach assigned classes, grade assignments, provide timely student feedback, ensure learning objectives are attained, and post grades adhering to university deadlines and policies
- The ability to successfully teach one or more business-related courses
- Must be able to use and work from a course syllabus
- Grades and record-keeping using the Canvas system is required
- Candidates should be proficient with current technologies and teaching with various tools such as videoconferencing, publisher platforms, and presentation software
- Candidates must have a dedication to providing a positive and high-quality learning environment
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- At least one year of teaching experience at college level
- Practical experience in business and entrepreneurship, especially in the area of instruction
- Demonstrated skills in classroom management and successful correspondence with students, faculty, staff, and administration
- Doctoral degrees and master’s degrees from AACSB accredited programs are preferred

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Describe the specific job duties related to this competency
- Adjunct faculty will teach assigned classes
- Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus
- Maintain office hours (a way for students to contact and receive guidance from the faculty members) for at least 30 hours per course (2 hours per week for full-semester courses or 4 hours per week for 8-week courses)
- Grade assignments, provide feedback to students, and post grades while adhering to relevant university policies
- Suitably challenge, engage, serve, and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual respect
- Complete grade books, mid-term and final grade submissions, learning assessments (if needed), and final exam assessments on a timely basis
- Respond to student questions in a timely manner
