About the Department and/or College
Major/Essential Functions
- Administrative Support to the Deans Leadership Team
- Coordinate and prepare agendas, notes, and follow-ups for Associate/Assistant Deans and Deans Team meetings in partnership with the Executive Assistant to the Dean. Manage and facilitate internal communications on behalf of Associate/Assistant Deans and department leadership to ensure clear, timely, and consistent information sharing.
- College Administrative Coordination.
- Provide scheduling and logistical support for the College of Education Dean, Associate Deans, and Assistant Dean. Support departments in the curriculog process. Monitor college and university committees to ensure college coverage of committees, full representation, and reporting. Serve as a liaison for Associate/Assistant Deans with college wide committees, and maintain the official record of College committees and Faculty Council, by communicating regularly.
- Finance and Budget Support.
- Monitor, reconcile, and track Associate Dean budget accounts, ensuring responsible stewardship of funds and financial reporting to support informed decision-making. Coordinate travel and purchasing functions with College accountants for expenses linked to Associate Deans offices and college level initiatives.
- Leadership.
- Develop onboarding materials for college staff in partnership with Staff Council. Coordinate and deliver training for new Department Business Coordinators and administrative staff to ensure consistency in administrative practices across departments.
- Strategic Planning
- Support Dean, Associate Deans, and Assistant Dean in advancing strategic plans, initiatives, and progress reporting. Facilitate communication and alignment among academic units, leadership, and administrative offices to support operational efficiency and institutional priorities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Operating Policies regarding travel and purchasing.
- Experience with budget tracking, financial systems, and fiscal compliance.
- Commitment to collaboration, problem-solving, and service excellence.
Pay Range
$19.47 - $25.29 - $31.15
