Responsibilities
Serves as Staff Coordinator for Undergraduate and Graduate studies in the Department of Health, Nutrition, and Food Sciences. Acts as the primary contact for all program-related matters, including recruitment, admissions, advising, and overall program coordination.
Inputs and updates departmental course offerings and coordinates room assignments for all undergraduate and graduate courses. Processes drop/add and mandatory first-day attendance changes for all course types. Works closely with the Associate Chair and Senior Administrative Specialist to ensure department and student needs are met. Requests, stores, and retrieves course syllabi each semester and ensures all textbook listings are entered in Student Central.
Coordinates all OASIS-required program paperwork and maintains up-to-date program databases covering admissions, course completion, grades, graduation requirements, and academic status. Maintains and updates program websites and oversees the program listserv. Attends program meetings as needed and establishes strong liaisons with Graduate Studies, Admissions, the Center for Global Engagement, and Anne’s College OASIS to stay informed of new policies and requirements. Advises faculty on university and college-level academic policies for undergraduate and graduate students, collaborating with program directors and the chair to ensure proper implementation. Recommends new or revised policies as necessary and provides additional support as requested by faculty, department chair, or Senior Administrative Specialist.
Serve as liaison with the Admissions Office, communicating with applicants about admission processes and requirements. Maintain and evaluate admissions statistics, including GRE and GPA tracking, and regularly update faculty on application data. Oversee admission file processing on SLATE and notify faculty when files are ready for review. Coordinate the readmission process by informing students and faculty of requirements. Maintain and update admissions websites, convert admissions files into permanent student records, and ensure accurate and current inventories of these files.
Advise and counsel graduate students on all academic aspects, including progress monitoring, coursework policies, deadlines, timelines, programs of study, certifications, and graduation requirements. Assist students with course registration based on their Program of Study (POS). Manage all graduate assistantship, scholarship, and fellowship applications, communicating status and decisions to students.
Prepare for and participate in on- and off-campus recruitment events. Communicate with prospective students about admissions and program requirements, responding to inquiries. Provide faculty with updates on recruitment activities and prospective student interest levels.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Anticipated Salary Range
The starting salary for this position is $44,056.00, commensurate with education and experience.
