"Adjunct Faculty - Academic Support - Diagnostic Methods Sonography - Echocardiography"

Description

The Center for Academic Success & Enrichment is seeking a part-time faculty (professional) tutor to support the Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Echocardiography program within the School of Medical Imaging and Therapeutics. Tutors will offer academic support for didactic and laboratory course work in an in-person and/or virtual format.

• Assist students enrolled in didactic coursework with content acquisition and application, critical thinking, and clinical skill development as it related to learning outcomes for the courses.
• Offer tutoring session availability in an in-person and/or online/virtual format.
• Collaborate with the applicable course instructor to determine plan of action for specific student.
• Provide feedback to student specific to progression in subject matter.
• Uses the University's learning management and scheduling system to communicate with students and document sessions
• Provide feedback to the program director as to student progress.
• Provides engaging activities during sessions that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered.
• Provides service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Required:

• Must hold a Bachelor of Science Degree
• Must be registered in Adult Echocardiography. Additional registry in congenital or pediatrics a plus.
• Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)

Compensation

The pay range associated with this posting reflects the amount the University reasonably expects to pay for this role at this time. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity, market data and pay in comparison to similarly situated employees doing comparable work.

Hiring Range: $44.50/hr
