QUALIFICATIONS

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Fire Science field preferred. AAS in fire science technology or related field is required. Furthermore, an OSFM Fire Officer 2 certification is also required.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years teaching or training experience at the college level. Minimum of 5 years of Fire Service experience, with a preference for experience in Fire Prevention. Must be an effective, enthusiastic educator who is committed to teaching at the community college level.

JOB DESCRIPTION ABOUT THE TEAM

The Career and Technical Programs provide programs of study that involve a multiyear sequence of courses that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate must be able to teach core and elective Fire Science courses, with a strong preference for expertise in Fire Prevention. Candidates with experience in other areas of Fire Science are also encouraged to apply.
