Job Description

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for fostering a learning environment that supports students in achieving their academic goals, while delivering effective instruction and assessment in alignment with the provided syllabi. The Global Languages department is seeking a Spanish adjunct to teach one or two elementary language classes this Fall on campus.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

• Previous teaching experience is required. College-level teaching experience preferred.

Education

• Minimum Qualifications: Master’s or higher degree in Spanish or Latin American Studies (other degrees in the Humanities or Social Sciences will be considered).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
• Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior.
• Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
• Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies.
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Other duties, including special projects, as required or assigned.
