Adjunct Faculty: Understanding Nutrition
North Shore Community College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach Nutrition courses beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. We anticipate offering this course in future semesters as well. Depending on background of the candidate, other courses for Fall 2025 and future semesters may be available.
The current openings are to teach SCI104 Understanding Nutrition in person at NSCC's campus on the Lynn, MA campus as well as on-site at high schools in Lynn and Revere. Future offerings may be held on our campus in Lynn or Danvers, at our partner high schools, or offered via other remote or hybrid modalities.

Job Requirements:
- Masters Degree in nutrition, biology, or a related science-based discipline.
- Evidence of commitment to and experience working with a diverse student body.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
Preferences:
- Evidence of successful prior teaching in higher education or high school. Community College teaching experience preferred.
- Experience with Blackboard or similar Learning Management System.
- Predisposition to working in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork.
- Strong evidence of passionate commitment to striving for excellence in working with students and in responding to opportunities that extend the mission of the College.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
