"Temporary Faculty Hlth & Kinesiology (Nutrition and Food Science)"

Job Summary
The Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology is accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty to teach in its Nutrition and Health Sciences undergraduate program for the Spring 2025 semester. Reporting to the Department Chair, the Part Time Instructor in Nutrition and Food Sciences requires the individual to teach no more than two courses that may include introduction to food sciences, community nutrition, and cultural foods. Part-time positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
Earned master's degree in nutrition or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in nutrition by January 1, 2025.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of one year of full-time college/university teaching in nutrition or closely related field.

Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.

Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position. Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills.
