"Adjunct: Philosophy"

DeSales University’s Department of Philosophy & Theology housed in the College of Arts, Education, and Humanities invites applications for a pool of qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate philosophy courses in upcoming semesters on campus in Center Valley, PA. Courses may include introductory surveys, ethics, logic, ancient, modern, or contemporary philosophy. We seek individuals who are committed to the intellectual and spiritual mission of a Catholic, Salesian university.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a master’s degree in Philosophy or a closely related field; ABD or Ph.D. preferred
• Prior college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to teach philosophical concepts clearly and engagingly
• Understanding of and respect for the Catholic intellectual tradition and its role within higher education
• Ability to teach in-person at our Center Valley, PA campus
