Your opportunity
Join Southern Cross University’s vibrant student and faculty support community and help shape exceptional experiences for our students. We’re seeking motivated, service-oriented professionals to join key areas across the University, including:
Student Administration Officer – Admissions: Guide students from admission to graduation, focusing on admissions and enrolment support to deliver a seamless and positive student experience.
First Year Adviser – Student Support & Success Support commencing students as they navigate their first year of university, providing proactive, personalised guidance to help them stay engaged, overcome challenges and build strong foundations for academic success and retention.
Available roles will be discussed at our ‘Future Opportunities Workshop’ currently scheduled for 25 February 2026 at our Lismore Campus.
What you will bring
You’re a people-first professional who takes pride in delivering great service and getting the details right. You thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment and enjoy helping others succeed through clear communication and practical support. To succeed in these roles, you will need:
A relevant tertiary qualification or a minimum two years of applicable experience in a student administration, customer service, government, or other high-volume administrative environments
Proven customer service orientation and the ability to provide support in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people at all levels
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and computer literacy skills, with experience using customer relationship management (CRM) or database systems to manage records and deliver responsive service

Full-time (continuing). Applicants deemed suitable may be offered other opportunities as they arise. Located at Lismore, NSW 2480. HEW Level 4. The base salary is $75,500 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is $88,335.

Group session to showcase teamwork and interpersonal skills.
One-on-one interviews to understand your experiences and aspirations.
Skills and strengths activity to evaluate your proficiency in administration, time management, and attention to detail.
