About This Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and organised Administration Officer to provide high-quality administrative support within the Infection Prevention and Vascular Access team.

This is an excellent casual opportunity for current UQ students or individuals seeking flexible work arrangements. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver comprehensive administrative support across research activities, including meetings, workshops, seminars, and general coordination
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, conference bookings, and professional development arrangements for staff and students
  • Manage financial administration, including invoices, purchase orders, supplier payments, and travel reimbursements in line with guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records and provide support with reports, documentation, and stakeholder liaison across research teams

About You

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Postgraduate program at The University of Queensland (highly desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholders
  • Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to supporting efficient administrative processes

Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia and criminal history checks. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.

You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
