The Opportunity
Join our dynamic Marketing and Communications team and help keep operations running smoothly. In this varied role, you’ll provide administrative support across the department, assist the Events and Partnerships team with event logistics and activities, and support the Director, Marketing and Communications. As a central point of contact for the team, you’ll help manage systems, processes and communications that enable the team to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Please note: This role may require travel between UniSC campuses throughout the year. Flexibility in work hours, including after-hours and weekend work, will also be required.
You will
- support the Events and Partnerships team with administrative and operational support to ensure effective delivery of event and partnership activity;
- support Marketing and Communications operations by providing administrative support to the wider department; and
- provide the Director, Marketing and Communications with administrative and organisational support.
About you
You are a highly organised administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting a team to achieve shared goals. With strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities, you communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and build positive working relationships across teams. You take a proactive approach to problem solving, use sound judgement in your work, and are comfortable navigating systems and processes while contributing to a collaborative and efficient team environment.
You will possess:
- relevant education, training and/or experience related to administrative, marketing or communications functions, ideally within a large or complex organisation;
- substantial relevant administrative experience with strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn systems and processes, with experience using Microsoft 365 (including Teams and SharePoint) highly regarded;
- excellent organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise conflicting demands, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines;
- the ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships beyond your immediate team to support successful outcomes;
- the ability to exercise sound judgement when dealing confidently and sensitively with a variety of stakeholders across the University; and
- demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think laterally and take responsibility to deliver positive outcomes.
