The College of Nursing is looking for a highly reliable, welcoming, proactive, resourceful professional with exceptional communication skills who thrives on helping others and enjoys organizing events. Under limited supervision and using independent judgment, the Administrative Support Professional will act as the first point of contact for the Office of Student & Academic Affairs (OSAA), organize professional events, and oversee all student-facing communication for the college.

As the first point of contact, the successful candidate will have a smile in their voice and support the Recruiting, Admissions, Academic Advising, and Student Success teams. This role will coordinate with college leadership to identify the preferred ceremony date/time; create the invitation and rsvp tools; synchronize with academic advising to verify student eligibility; compose the script; direct faculty, students, university leadership, keynote speakers, guests, and volunteers; work with marketing to develop the event program; and initiate many other small touches to make the event special for each participant.

In addition to these primary areas of responsibility, the position also oversees all student-facing communications for the college, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and strategically aligned. This will include maintaining up-to-date content across departmental webpages, bulletin boards, hallway monitors, email communications, and other student communication platforms to support engagement, awareness, and student success.

Outstanding U of A benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance plans; life insurance and disability programs; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; U of A/ASU/NAU tuition reduction for the employee and qualified family members; retirement plans; access to U of A recreation and cultural activities; and more!
