"Admissions Campus Ambassador (Student Employment) - Genesee Community College"

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

The Admissions Office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to join our team as an Admissions Campus Ambassador. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain professional experience while assisting prospective students and their families through the admissions process. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, and comfortable communicating with a diverse range of individuals. HIRING FOR SUMMER 2025 & FALL 2025 TERMS.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct campus tours and share insights about student life at GCC
• Answer phone calls, and provide general information about GCC
• Assist with data entry, and other administrative tasks
• Support admissions events, including Open Houses and Information Sessions
• Assist with admissions social media

Job Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Must be a current student of GCC and eligible for the work-study program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and represent GCC positively

Equipment Used: Phone, computer, copier

Physical Demands: Lifting, sitting long periods.

Work Schedule / Availability: Flexible schedule based on class commitments
