Advising & Partnership Specialist for the School of Education - MSUAASF Range B
Job Description: To serve as a professional advisor for the School of Education with a focus on retention of teacher candidates, specifically in the following candidate cohorts and partnerships: para-to-programs, residencies/apprenticeships, special education grant pipeline, and transfer pathways.
Minimum Qualifications: An earned bachelor's degree in education or related field plus two years of professional experience in related education field such as teacher preparation or classroom practitioner. Demonstrates organizational and documentation skills. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills via written and verbal communication. Possesses knowledge of elevated technological skills working with spreadsheets, databases, and workflows. Ability to meet deadlines and work under time restraints. Demonstrated commitment or proven strategies for fostering a diverse and inclusive environment; demonstrated ability or proven strategies to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualification: Preference for education licensure. Experience in teacher preparation. Experience in supervision of clinical experiences. Student-centered approach to education and commitment to helping grow the Education program. Demonstrated skills in collaboration, consensus building, and achieving mutual goals with colleagues an understanding of and appreciation for liberal education.
Other Requirements: Priority will be given to those who apply by 9/23/2025. Work Shift (Hours / Days of work): Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Telework (Yes/No): No.
