Ambulatory LVT Lead - Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine
The Ambulatory LVT Lead supports the operations of the Clemson CVM Ambulatory Service. This position ensures the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations, performs administrative tasks, and provides operational support to the team of veterinary professionals in the ambulatory service. Performs other duties as assigned.
Technical Support: Support the daily operations of the ambulatory veterinary practice, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service. Coordinate and schedule ambulatory appointments, responding promptly to client inquiries and emergencies. Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for ambulatory services and ordering supplies when inventory is low. Accompany the on-duty DVM on calls to provide technical assistance as needed. Assist veterinarians with data entry into the EMR, both during and outside of service calls. Assist the CVM Business Office team in preparing financial reports, including revenue analysis, expense tracking, and forecasting. Assist in the active clinical education of professional veterinary students.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with ambulatory services and escalating client issues or concerns as needed. Collaborate with veterinarians to develop client education programs and outreach initiatives. Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary staff, facilitating communication and resolving issues effectively.
Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards of care in veterinary ambulatory services. Implement protocols and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure the safety of staff, clients, and animals. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including licensing, accreditation, and record-keeping. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of protocols and procedures, making recommendations for improvement as needed. Support veterinarians in providing reporting requirements to University Veterinarian, IACUC, AALAC, etc.
