Position overview
The Australian National University is seeking a highly organised, professional and proactive Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative, executive and project support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) and senior leaders within the Research & Innovation Portfolio.
This is a key role within a collaborative executive support team, contributing to the effective and efficient operation of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation). The successful candidate will exercise sound judgement, discretion and initiative in managing priorities, coordinating workflows, supporting stakeholder engagement and ensuring the smooth running of a busy senior leadership office.
The role will suit an experienced executive support professional who is confident working in a complex environment, able to manage competing demands, and comfortable engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities will include diary and travel management, correspondence, committee and meeting support, preparation of papers and minutes, project coordination, event support, financial administration and liaison across the University.
We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion. Experience in a university or education environment will be highly regarded.
