Assessment Logistics Specialist
The Assessment Logistics Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive coordination of assessment logistics, academic records, and evaluation processes across both the pre-clinical and clinical phases of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program. This role ensures the successful coordination of student assessments, grading procedures, and instructional feedback systems.
Essential functions include:
- Manage logistics for pre-clinical exam delivery, including student communication and preparation of testing materials
- Coordinate pre-clinical makeup exams
- Coordinate supplemental exam processes, including scheduling, faculty collaboration, and grade change processing
- Support and maintain assessment and evaluation tools
- Maintain accurate academic records for both pre-clinical and clinical students, including final grades and class rank calculations
- Ensure timely submission of grades to the university registrar and external institutions
- Process grade changes resulting from appeals, supplemental exams, or administrative corrections in coordination with the registrars office.
- Manage the collection of teaching evaluations for the DVM program
- Oversee the tracking of clinical assessment requirements, including In-Training Evaluation Reports, Entrustable Professional Activities, and procedure logs
- Manage the collection and review of externship evaluations from external clinical sites
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education administration, academic affairs, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in academic records management within a higher education or health professions setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage sensitive data and complex workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
- Proficiency in academic systems and evaluation platforms.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in veterinary or medical education.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and competency-based education models.
Target Salary Range: $20.24 - $26.44 per hour; commensurate with experience, internal equity, the units available budget, and the candidates qualifications.
